ASPIRE TO INSPIRE

I am of the opinion that an artist's mission in life is to be inspired and to inspire; hence, all artists swim in waters of inspiration. Some write directly from their original inspiration while others write by being influenced by an inspired artist. This receiving and giving cycle keeps spinning turning up new songs, new melodies and new works of art of many sorts.  

It is also my sad discovery that there are people in this world who are like a log; no inspiration and no lofty thought ever stirs; as if they are without soul. Naturally, a question as to 'why they are this way?' comes to fore and I guess that the answer lies in those people's upbringing and training. All of us carry the seeds of inspiration and freedom is the milieu in which those seeds sprout. Therefore, suppression of inspiration by external societal means deprives people of the glory of life. We all hunt for some kind of glory, for appreciation, which makes us stay in the creative mode for creativity is hardly ever for self. This wheel of giving and receiving is like the water mill that grinds wheat, which produces bread and sustains life.
